Search, pmoneypod and consider taking the online, what they call the DMV Senior Renewal E-Learning. I resisted it because I'm not good with the computer. But what I discovered was it is actually open book, OMG! I couldn’t believe it! Ya sit right there at home with your computer! I had my DMV book within arms, reach. No kidding. So, I went for it, paid my 45. fee for my license, and started reading the small paragraph (received my license in the mail 3 weeks after E-Learning) I kid you not! In the paragraph the DMV provides the answer to the questions! Each topic, paragraph, then is followed by four questions, the answers, multiple choice, were in the paragraph! Not only that, when I got one answer wrong (because, I read the question wrong) a sign popped up! “TRY AGAIN!” There is no way I could’ve failed! So stop fretting and search.......pmoneypod.....I tell ya all about my E-Learning experience, is what it’s called ! Even about the eye test! Now folks who are not sure about the computer go to your library, they have plenty of computers and will help ya get to CA. DMV.GOV for your Senior Renewal E-Learning they are so darn helpful! Only 10 questions not 46 FYI. Best to ya! pmoneypod

I just passed my knowledge test with 3 mistakes. Thanks a lot for your videos. I remember 2 questions that I got wrong. 1. To safely pass a hill or a curve you should be at least one third of a mile ahead. 2. Lane 1 is fast/slow or middle lane? Thanks a lot for your videos!

#1 How many feet away from an intersection must I be to legally be able to cross 2 solid yellow lines to make a left into a driveway? #2 - At what point am I allowed to make a right turn if there are pedestrians in a crosswalk? - Do I have to wait for them to complete their walk through the crosswalk or wait until they've passed the front of my vehicle?

At 17:17 it talks about right aways at a 2 way stop. What if there is another car across the street at the stop sign signaling a left turn. Do you go first or do they?

This does help on the handbook for the exam at the DMV and I am going to go over the sections like weathers, constructions, passing, speed, highway, intersections, lane changes, car controls, lanes, railroads, collisions, road signs, phone uses, nights, drugs, trucks and pedestrians too

Bicyclists should obey the same laws as motorists. I see them run stop signs all the time in San Francisco!

You are wrong about the examiners. There are some that want you to fail and are out to get you and will nitpick and fail you for anything. Avoid the Simi Valley dmv. Avoid Brian. Read the reviews of the dmv’s before you go.

i just wanted to come here and say thank you so much for these videos. the day before yesterday i started watching your videos and today i passed my written test on the second try. so many of the questions and information on my test were exactly the same as in your videos and watching them helped nail in the handbook info. again thank you so much for what you do, i was so scared to start driving before this but now that ive passed im excited to start!!

Passed on the 2nd try, only got 4 wrong.. which i took 10min later after failing the first one lol Pro tip 1 - take the test back to back. I failed it once and went back again 10mins. plus the questions were still fresh in my minds so they're easy to remember....The dmv guy told me to go home and study, i said no. He was expecting to fail. He had a smh moment. Tip 2- use your skips button when stuck on a question. It'll shuffle forward an easier question plus it'll give u enough time to think about the skipped question.

Green enter intersection...when you have a safe opening you turn. Doesnt matter what color the light is once you enter the intersection.

I love this video because I’ve done turns on these same streets so it’s very familiar and very helpful. Balboa/Devonshire, Lassen/Reseda, Reseda/Devonshire (which is a notorious intersection), Nordhoff/Reseda etc. Road test is soon so I’m getting in as much practice as possible. My trouble right now is I tend to accelerate as soon as I come out of the turn. I know I should coast a little after the turn and then out of the turn accelerate up to speed. It’s almost as if my brain is trying to push the car to get out of the way in case the car behind me is trying to bushwhack me. You know these streets, some of these drivers around CSUN are quite aggressive and I have had several race around me as I was going the posted speed limit. They speed past a sign outside a middle or high school marked 25 mph. It’s a fight not to go above the speed limit because they are going above the speed limit.

I got a critical fault/automatic fail for failing to fully merge into a bike lane when making a right turn at a stop sign. I checked my mirrors and blinds and did a traffic check but because I wasn’t fully merged over into the bike lane it was considered a dangerous maneuver 😭. I smog’d but I was avoiding the cars parked in the bike lane.

I passed my knowledge test first try thanks to your videos!!

The two times I failed with a Critical Driving Error. Test 1: Hawthorne (March 2020, pre-COVID)- #5, Forgot to check my mirrors and look over my shoulder when preparing to merge past a row of parked cars along Prairie Ave in order to turn right into a residential neighborhood. Test 3: Torrance (November 2021)- #10, The residential neighborhood north of Carson Street on Denker Ave was unfamiliar to me. Since this was my first time going into that neighborhood at the Torrance DMV, I was not aware until the actual test that Denker Ave would be narrow once you turn left past the church and the car wash. I merged too early, causing the examiner to grab the wheel and fail me then and there for "Examiner Intervention". There were two cars waiting to turn onto Carson or continue straight on Denker. What I did not know until now was that Denker Ave is tight when you head north past Carson. I told my next examiner about what happened on my test. Said examiner asked me if I was certain if I made a right turn on Denker in the direction of McDonald's and Circus Donuts on the November test. I thought I was going to make a right turn in that direction, but I did not go that way. Test 2: Failed my second test with Hawthorne in May 2021 with 17 points (a little over, but not bad). Also much better than what I thought. Test 4: Returned to Hawthorne in June 2022 and passed with 10 points.
